Ode to fall

by Independence Forever   Jan 30, 2007

Leaves falling, winter comes fast
too bad the summer didn't last

still, i enjoy our giving thanks
whatever the side of the river banks

the colors of dying leaves stirs the soul
without all this scenery our lives are empty holes

trick or treat and scare up a scene
where else can a little girl be a queen

put on your coat and take a long walk
the pathway to winter we will now stalk

the rustle of leaves is not what it seems
such a thing happens only in our dreams
