Rain

by Independence Forever   Feb 5, 2007

Trickling down the gutter
so wet it makes you shutter

some say they can't stand all the rain
but i say that it washes all the bad away and keeps us sane

the rain is an omen to man
of a time long ago, God's ban

the rain may be terrible, i'll give you that
but after it all is a rainbow, that makes all bad things scat

hail to the rain, cleanse the earth
we have had rain since our birth

I really liked this. your word choice was good, but you had a few spelling errors. other than that, i thoroughly enjoyed it! 5/5

Hey! I like this but i think in some places the rhyme seems forced.

'that makes all bad things scat'
    'God's ban'

    For your consideration
I think that the poem flows better without:
    'and keeps us sane'.

but yeah the imagery is good. it has a nice rhythm to it, generally a good rhyme. It's a good piece.

Thank you for your comments. It's much appreciated.
