Play the man

by Independence Forever   Feb 9, 2007

Nowadays many people just quit
but i have a lesson, so please sit

the man may put you down and trample your rights
but when he does that get up and stay in the fights

by play the man i mean pretend you are stronger
and when it gets down to it you'll find you will last longer

break down his gate and storm his castle
it doesn't take much to defeat life's hastle

if you need help i'll be there to assist
and if someone needs your help, please don't resist

have no fear we shall bring the fight to his own place
for if we keep him on the defensive we'll save face

play the man, hold the line
whatever your catchphrase, it's fine

but i choose "cross the rubicon" in my everyday tasks
for in real life there is nothing obstructing our view no masks

only you can play the man, i cannot take him for you
so what is your choice what are you going to do?
