Aimless Endeavor

by Davey   Feb 14, 2007

As Twilight reaches out
Covers the world with dark cold arms
Another long night joins the past
Another empty sleep filled with empty dreams
A hopeless mind put to rest
A broken heart left never to be sown
Like a little boys sweater unfinished and unable to be worn
Leaving him out in the cold
That's how I feel without you
An aimless endeavor with nothing to hope for
Sixteen candles with not a wish nor a dream
And a hundred reasons why
We should be together
O lord as I get on my knees tonight
And ask again for one last thing...
Reach down and touch this broken life I call my own
And change this darkness into light
