Night of the Storm

by ben thompson   Feb 18, 2007

The storm of the Century such a odd occurrence.
Deathly blizzard was such a powerful disturbance.

Source of my fear, it blinded me of my sight.
Fate met my love on that snow filled night.

He crossed into her lane, couldn't see him in time.
Collision head on trying to rob her of her prime.

Fright ripped into my terrified lonely heart.
Not knowing her condition ripped me apart.

I prayed to God not to take her home.
Without her in my life i"d be all alone.

I arrived at the hospital to see her beautiful face.
My uncertainty and fear was suddenly erased.

Reunited she was safe in my strong arms.
Her guardian angel kept her protected from harm.
