I die every time i fight

by Independence Forever   Feb 20, 2007

I do not look for the fight, the fight finds me
i try to avoid it, but it must forever be

everyone cheers when i take the guy down
everyone smiles at my skills but i only frown

"did you hear about David's latest fight?"
all i hear are those words, David's might

i have not gotten glory from my fights, only pain
these nightmares haunt me, i fear I'm insane

my fists won't stop shaking, my adrenaline pulsing strong
why am i some great avenger, why me, why do i sound fate's gong

reenacted over and over in my mind's view
is the sight and feel of knuckles made anew

i didn't want to fight, i didn't want the glory
but so is life, and this is my story

Sorry to say this man, but i have to agree with Dave. Was a great poem, but if you really want to stop, stand down, and be the better man.
