When you were Around

by ben thompson   Feb 21, 2007

I loved someone with all my heart once upon a time.
Her auburn hair infectious, kisses like fine wine.

Fondly in my memories I can still here laughter chime.
From those days of old, in which you were still mine.

Back in those carefree days when our love was new.
It started as a seed then blossomed as it grew.

I knew that special love was too great to be true.
You finally left like all the rest, now what can I do.

I've tried to move forward with both feet on the ground.
Spent a few lonely nights solo, by myself out on the town.

But I always drift back to a certain familiar sound. Golden harmony of laughter, when you were around.
