What will happen if we leave iraq

by Independence Forever   Feb 23, 2007

The people cried, let's leave Iraq
let's go and never go back

so America pulled out, at the will of the many
we left Iraq, to save us a gas penny

a little boy cries to his mother
"does this mean I'll lose another brother?"

that little boy's brother was killed by a bomb
his question was unanswered by his sad mom

overnight the insurgents take up arms taking the country whole
they establish a tyrannical dictatorship over every soul

the brave Iraqi police and army fights to the last
but after America leaves, the die is cast

another Vietnam, you remember the south's plight
when we left, they were slaughtered, after a hard fight

but after the country is taken, it won't stop there
they will head for America, because they do dare

they know we cannot take their bloody suicidal war
they bomb everywhere in America, tearing at the open sore

the fight will be over, but no one will be blamed
why we pulled out, we should be forever shamed

i know everyone has their own opinion, but please i beg you, look to the end of the matter, for your country, family, and your future children.

Difference of opinions aside, the flow of the poem is really good, your rhyming is really nice, the choice of your words is interesting, nice poem.
