Oh Heart

by Skye Mangual   Feb 28, 2007

Phone is silent, my ears are ringing,
oh captured heart, poisoned love still stinging.

Your voice unheard, my mind is reeling,
oh fragile heart I exhaust from feeling.

A child in need of punishment is now what your eyes hold,
oh silent voice keep safe and secure the untold.

Distance is destroying me as you begin to adore my ache,
oh tortured soul do you like this misery you take?

Sleep deprived eyes serves not well to abandoned me,
oh suffering girl can sleepy dreams now set you free?

Your loving self I adore, but cruelty I do not miss,
oh hopeless child is there no escaping this?

I think not as my longing tears burn my flesh at night,
oh shattered heart continues waiting for all to be set right.
