How I bled for you

by Kurt   Mar 2, 2007

I feel the snow tainted
As it smothers all sound
Up at the very treetops
To the shrubs upon the ground

Oh you're such a bandit
'Cause you stole my heart
Oh you merciless criminal
You tore it apart

When I look into your eyes
All I receive a blank stare
All of your emotions
Are devoid of any care

My suffering doesn't matter
In the scheme of things
As long as you're in control
Of my puppet strings

I don't want to be alone
(Like many of you think)
No more than a psychopath
Wants to have a shrink

I just want to be loved
To have someone to hold
Someone willing to protect me
From the vicious cold

Next time think harder
About what to do
Because you never understood
How I bled for you.

Wow, that was quite sad. It's easily related to, as well. Which I love about it, and most of your poetry. Once again, perfect flow and rhyming, along with word choices.

    Keep it up, hun.

    I LOVE this.
Oh my...this was beautifully written and perfect in every way.
    My favourite stanza was
    Oh you're such a bandit
    'Cause you stole my heart
    Oh you merciless criminal
    You tore it apart

I adore that so much, I thought it held so much power.
    Beautiful job on this!
