Tying your shoes

Each person has their own way to tie
but sometimes that job can go awry

bunny ears is the most popular way
but some people double knot, that's their say

loop swoop and pull will never go wrong
but I'll agree, tying shoes is like a song

when you learn it, never will it depart
then one day, to your kids to impart

tying shoes is like a way of life
boys, if you can't tie shoes, get you a wife

    ^^ I didn't like that part. I just didn't feel that it made a whole lot of sense, but was rather there just to fit the rhyme scheme.

    However, I found this to be both original and unique in concept.

    I loved the ending, certainly brought a giggle to my lips.
    I have tried to write humoress poems and find them extremely difficult, so on the whole I think you did a rather good job with this.
