I Never Knew

by Lynzie   Mar 5, 2007

I never knew the love we had
Until finally my hand you could grab
It was no longer just a picture or a letter i wrote
It was my hand out of the pocket of my coat

I never knew until i could listen to your heart beat
I never knew until i could play footsie with your feet
Now its so clear since you could run your hand down my face
For one minute my world stopped spinning and my steady heart raced

I never knew the fun, the laughs, or the hugs
I never knew i would find just what i was dreaming of
I never knew all the things that i had missed
Until you gave me that one innocent kiss

I never knew i would fall so much or even this fast
I never knew i would find something that would finally last
I never knew how much for someone i would care
I never knew i would want that someone there

I never knew love could be so great, kind, and sweet
Until you came in and swept me completely off my feet
i never knew someone would love everything about me
I never knew someone could open my eyes to let me see

I never knew someone would feel what i feel in that kiss
I never knew that i would be the only thing that you missed
I never knew you would open up and let me in
I never knew you finally let your walls bend

I never knew that i had that many smiles to smile
Until you came into my life and made it worth-while
I never saw me wanting to spend a lifetime with you
But now i cant wait till the day that i will say i do

I don't see anything ever going wrong
Its all happening like a perfect love song
I never there would be someone who all my trust is in
I never thought i would have someone that i let completely in

I never knew i would love someone with all of my heart
I never knew i would fall for them from the very start
There were so many things i thought that i would never know
But since you have came into my life every single bit of it is shown

The last line throws the flow off a little, but other than that, this is truly beautiful. It's sweet, innocent, and full of love. A nice piece to read with an upbeat message. Nice job!
