Where does it leave me
if you aren't here? just

your life with? am i just
a joke, one you laugh at
incredulously and you
can't ever take back?

Is my life just an app-
arition, one that scares
the hell out of you when
you look-- no one's there?

Am i just a ghost, walking
the halls of forever lost,
looking at what selling
my own soul did cost

with an eye for being such
close friends of death,
though you look down the stairs,
scared to take the last step?

is it death that you fear?
is it me that scares you
into walking around so
lost, unsure what to do?

Am i merely a nuisance--
just in your way, and
somehow you hope that
there i won't always stand?

Is it me, you think who
is over taken by demons;
the reason why every night
you have been screaming

for me to leave you alone?
Is it because you know you
love me, except you are
afraid of what you'll lose

if you love me? All of
the popularity and fame?
Is that why you don't love me,
you fear throwing it all away?

Am i just a being that you
seem to be attatched to,
but when it comes to the
truth, you hide the clues

that would make it obvious
to yourself, make you see,
