Full Moon

by x.Athame.x   Mar 14, 2007

She stares outside
Her face looking grim
As hard as she tries
She can't not think of him

He is sitting elsewhere
Deadly silent as well
How long will this last
Only time will ever tell

She reaches for a pen
To write what she feels
Thinking back over time
Her head begins to reel

He stares at the radio
Playing some sad song
His mind says it's right
His heart says it's wrong

She sinks to the floor
Burning in her eyes
No matter what she does
She cannot seem to cry

He walks to the window
And wonders how she fares
With painful memories
Of when time was theirs

They both stare at the sky
Then at the full moon
And all they can think about
Is seeing each other soon

For being this far away
Is becoming far too hard
But when their together
They are one heart

Able to mend the wounds
That time apart has wrought
But the time apart has also
Them closer to each other brought

Perhaps not in distance
But definitely in their love
And still they sit there silent
Staring at the black sky above

*Wow.. yes it sucks, I know... but I tried. Comments to improve? Oh, and not a personal poem... written about others. :)
