Walking

by Independence Forever   Mar 14, 2007

I walk three mile to school
I'm nothing close to a fool

when i walk i can think on things
i can take on what problems life brings

the stillness of the morning, the warmth of afternoon sun
it may be tiring but i feel better when i reach my target and I'm done

most students only have to cross the street
or ride in cars, to a soft soothing melody beat

"you won't last a week" is all i hear
some worry about me, with constant fear

but i assure them, i would have it no other way
maybe i will get hurt, but come what may

i walk to prove an ideal, to be exalted when I'm gone
there is no better feeling than meeting the rising dawn

Was a good poem, though to be honest not as good as some of your previous work, still, it had a lightness to it and a reality to it that i can relate to.
