Vision of Destitution

by ben thompson   Mar 18, 2007

The destitution of my vision is sickening to see.
God help us all I've seen things that shouldn't be.

Destruction beyond imagination vindictive manifestations appear.
Eviscerated corpses scatter volcanic grounds, now the end is near.

Explosions of great amplitude shake the voids expanse.
Piercing screams haunt my sleep with evil ghostly chants.

Beasts gather in darkness with malicious notions in mind.
Their accursed actions seek to end all of man's kind.

The viper leads their onslaught to darken all the lands.
They possess immense power human life cannot withstand.

The sun darkens as midnight, great fissures shear the ground.
Living shadows amble whisper quiet killing without sound.

Pray our souls to Christ because our #$* is in the fire.
There is nowhere to hide, and their thirst shall never tire.

great job on this write. Word choices and the imagery are excellent. You have painted such a scarey picture of the nearing of the end of this world as we have know it. Excellent job!

I agree it is very powerful. And dark. The lines flowed smoothly for the most part and it was refreshing to see vocabulary that was rarely utilized. All in all great job.
