That's All I Remember

I stared out the window,
wishing for a better day,
when suddenly it all hit me,
you weren't coming back.
I didn't know what to do,
fighting away these tears,
was hard to do,
along with all the thoughts of you.
This new reality,
started settling in,
as I scarmbled about,
like a lost dog.
I was so gloomy,
but day turned to night,
and it started getting worse,
as the tears hit my pillow.
The thoughts of you,
growing stronger,
as the night dragged,
on and on.
I watched the sun,
come up,
as I just lay in my bed,
wishing for it all to end.
I looked up,
at my razor,
so close at hand,
and I grabbed it.
I slit a deep line,
down my arm,
stared out the window,
and that's all I remember.
