A few more moments

by Julienne   Mar 21, 2007

She stands on the edge
nightgown swaying in the breeze
she closes her eyes
pushing the tears down to her chin
she steps forward
and draws her breath
she is trapped
as she taked another step
her pathetic life flashes before her eyes
and with that step
she plunges downwards
towards the watery depths
sharp rocks mangle her thin frame
tear her fine, pale flesh
only a few more seconds
would have saved her
