God, where have you gone?
I'm searching for you.
I'm lost and reaching out,
I don't know what to do.

Have you abandoned me?
Am I not your son?
Am I to just sit and wait
For my fate in oblivion?

My people, Your people
All sing out in praise.
They've found You in their heart,
They all know they're safe.

I search in my heart,
But it feels cold and empty.
Why until now, God,
Have you not answered me?
