My Secret Inner War

by lisabrighteyes   Mar 30, 2007

A tunnel thats twisted
A cage thats within
Only no one knows its ever existed
Glass shattering screams, my soul it pleads
To be seen or heard
Though my smiles mislead
Sinking below, barely staying alive
Pulled down by a darkness
Such a fight to survive
My tears weigh me down
Though my eyes dont cry
Theyre making me drown
Chains unbreakable
Locked on the inside
Bound so deep its inescapable
Where do you run
When theres walls all around
And you can never undo what youve already done
This far under, why stand anymore
Nothing I ever do will save me from
My secret inner war

    Wow, that was amazing!!
I love your style of writing,
    it is so explanatory and
    shows the reader your pain.
I could really relate to this and
know exactly what its like when
you hold your tears in for so long and
just try being as strong as
you can so that people don't see the facade
that you put on and the lie
    that you live!!
    Great job,
    ***Take care***
