Bereavement

How could I have buried the living man inside
The dead speak within me haunting my sleepless nights

The world is an empty place when all you see is a deathly face
Blankly staring back at you in the darkness of its tomb

Falling back into this pit
Thinking I had finally climbed out of it
Fading away from within my sight
Leaving me cold... as cold as ice

Holding onto your gentle gaze
I've cursed you with my burdensome pain
Run away as far as you may
let me be inside my grave

That last stanza (to me) was very powerful, the message it's giving me, is something of how powerful a love for someone can be, that you would let someone go
But that may be me reading to much into it, lol
