Broken Soul

by Vladimir Lorenzo   Apr 12, 2007

My heart and soul have fallen apart,
Unable to take the broken pieces of my soul that fell apart,
I drown in tears,
In a pool of confusion and sadness,
Tears full of memories,
Bad and good,
Wishing to build up strength,
To grasp the remainder of my soul,
Before they fade,
Fade away like the years,
The years that come from months,
The months that come from days,
Still I lay,
Hopelessly waiting for something,
That something will lend an invisible hand,
A hand to carry,
A hand to lift,
But still my soul drifts away,
For the wishing of something
Ends up nothing,
Still I lay,
Tasting the water and salt of my memories,
There it goes
The very last part of my soul,
Still here I lay hopeless, breathless, and lifeless.
