The Lost Scriptures

The devil was once an angel
Who tightened his grip on evil
He was consumed into a world of darkness
Far too sinister for the heavens to hold

He was conceived by the angel of light
Who had fallen intimately in love with God
He was destined for true greatness
but it was not meant to be foretold

Pure admiration was given to this child
But the undeniable could not be denied
Something terrible brewed deeply within
A drive, a force that would be unstoppable

He developed and attained a powerful mind
And it filled with the darkest of thoughts
He wanted to rule the heavenly kingdom
He wanted to smell deceit and death in the air

A son made his way down his own dark path
And his fathers footsteps were erased
They now despised and loathed
the very sight of each other

The strongest resentment imaginable grew between them
And could not be contained or imprisoned
So for the greater good of the kingdom
God cast his son into the underworld

The devil became the master and leader
Of the angels that rebelled against God
And their army of immorality
Could not be challenged or defeated

And thus, the battle of evil and good commenced
A war between father and son
They become each others adversaries
And the battle still wages on
