Losing a friend, taking my life

by isabel   Apr 14, 2007

You were my most precious treasure
Hearing you laugh was a pleasure
Seeing you sad made me cry
I swear that, for you, I'd die

All nice things must end
You are no longer my friend
This loss has taken my breath
Now, I only think of death

Painted black is the sky
Why did you need to lie?
In my reality, there was a twist
Now, I only need to cut my wrist

Your heart is frozen for eternity
In the cemetery, this memory
Awakes the broken and the dead
I died for you, that's what I said

The rhyming scheme seemed a tad forced to me love. but over all it was still a good read. 4/5.

Excellent rhythm, the rhymes didn't seem forced at all.
The topic was so sad though. Losing a friend is something terribly upsetting
