Until Then.

by Teria   May 5, 2007

My stomach's churning, hands are trembling.
My whole body's nervous, It's been so long.
My eyes are watering, nose turning red...
I hope this time I am not misled.

It's been fifteen months since I last seen you.
A million stars away, with a barren heart.
I heard it's not too easy on the other side..
It's not my fault, your life was already defied.

I understand where you're coming from,
losing your wife and your two children.
It must have been hard, being all alone..
It was hard for me, but you're on your own.

No where to go, no one to comfort,
A million stars away with a barren heart.
This is where I was lead, back into your arms.
This is where I will leave, please don't alarm.

It's your choice, doesn't happen to be mine.
I have been waiting extremely too long.
Just tell me the answers this very day,
and if you choose I will go away.

Just, please, take this one little thing to mind.
For the last fifteen months I have given
all I can give, to keep what that of which is mine.
For now you might just say, " Okay, Fine."

But, I assure you that someway, somehow.
One of these lonely days you, also..
Will do what I did, maybe even better.
But, until then, Father.. I leave you this letter.

Word choice was excellent. the flow was like water. the emtions clear, and deep. A couple of the lines didn't seem like they fit. reading your poem outloud will hep you see witch ones I am talking about. The rhyming was perfect, but it felt forced in one or two places.
Other tahn that I loved this peice, wonderfully written, by another intellegent writter. 5/5
