How Can It Be Over, When Its Not Yet Begun

How can it be over
When it's not yet begun
An end to no beginning
How could you have won

If we never started out
How could I hurt so much
How could this pain juts hit me
After one simple touch

How could I cry so hard
For someone I hardly know
For a kid I just met
Yet I can't let him go

How could I fall this hard
For someone like him
When he didn't even care
When he never did begin

How can it be over
When it's not yet begun
How could we possibly
Suddenly be done

How could I feel so much
For a kid who doesn't care
How could I be stuck
In a place so unfair

How could I be caught
In such a complex situation
When from the very start
There was no destination

How'd I get in so deep
Where there's no way out
I'm caught between two rocks
And all I do is pout

How can it be over
When it's not yet begun
Can you tell me now
What our friendship will become

How could you like another
And just drop me like that
Like we never had a moment
Though we never had a past

How could I feel such pain
How could I feel so sad
For a guy who's an a _ _
Who treated me so bad

How could I fall for an a_ _ hole
Who's just a total jerk
Who cares only for himself
Who doesn't care that I got hurt

How can it be over
When it's not yet begun
There's nothing we have shared
And no memories, not one

I fell for you hard
And I continued to go
Cuz what lies ahead
I just didn't know

How could I just let myself go
Taking no precautions
So assure of my victory
Creating such exhaustions

Why am I filled with such flaws
Composing stupid mistakes
I guess that me and you
Were never meant for fate

Every thing's so confusing
And there's no way i can run..
But how can it be over
When it's not yet begun?

    I agree with every line of this poem.Its happened to me when a guy you thought you cared so much about and you thought cared so much for you just goes to another girl.And leaves you there crying and wanting to die, then makes you want to cut yourself...i've said to much...But i liked this i kept thinking about my past when i read this,,,

    honestly im stil dealing with my breakup and its tought, theres a lot of questions that the heart asks, i think you nailed this poem :) definetly going in my favs list :D i coulnt help but to give you 5/5 :P

    I reckon you are just about spot on.... they seem to have an effect on us sometimes these men.... you can't explain why but you just fall for a guy so hard that you dont know what hit you.... even when you know at the bottom of your heart that its going nowhere... it's f ing crazy!!!

    Is a very good poem though I think- for what it's worth. will go and check out some more of your stuff now.
