Sapphire Sighs

these eyes of mine can clearly see
the changes taking place with his body
he's consumed with agonizing pain
limps around with the use of a cane
sadness etched in his facial lines
breaks this tender heart of mine
my love for him runs oh so deep
into my soul he did seep
forever his side I will stand by
quietly whispering sapphire sighs
