A Sad Goodbye

I'm sorry for saying goodbye
I felt guilty for making you cry.
I dont want to craft another lie,
So please dont dare to ask me why.

Give me sometime to spend alone
To bring myself back in tone.
Maybe I was confused to choose,
But believe me I dont want you to lose.

I need time for my heart to unwind,
To settle those problems Ive left behind.
My life is blinded by my past
That I havent solved and hard to surpass.

The irate thunder is uncertain
Waiting to strike and give some pain.
For what I did I knew it was wrong
In limiting our love to sing more song.

All I wish for is your forgiveness,
And understand that I also did my best.
But I failed to endure my love
And I know that this is all I have.

Last thing I want to say to you,
That Im still your friend if you found someone new
In my mind and in my heart
Our love engraved and forever be a part.

    I really don't understand why is this poem rated with 2, it deserves much higher rate.
    I like the rhyming in it, it don't seem forced, and the flow of the whole piece is excellent.
    My favorite stanza is:
    -The irate thunder is uncertain
    Waiting to strike and give some pain.
    For what I did I knew it was wrong
    In limiting our love to sing more song.-
