Pillars of Cold

by Independence Forever   Sep 12, 2007

The capital, a dark foreboding cityscape
no love, just a coldness to illuminate

the people act like drones, no free thought allowed
no friendship, hope, laughter, nothing to be endowed

no crime, the coldness should be considered one
always a lingering cloud, never do we see the sun

in this cold metropolis feeling can never be permitted
everything we held dear is gone, emptiness is emitted

no past, no present, just a grim future ahead
the days repeat like a book repeatedly reread

this cold capital may be without abroad wars
but in the end death is what's behind it's doors
