Tsunami Hearts

He held her tight and kissed her softly
leaned his face up to her ear just to whisper her fears
The words "I love you" could build someone up, to tear them down later
There's a fine line between "stay" and "see you later"
He crossed the line when he told her she had to go
Now she's rolling over in bed,mascara racin down her face
tryin to wake up from that nightmare

    Interesting piece with nicely created imagery. I like the topic, but you could use some metaphors and make it a little longer.
    I like these lines:
    -The words "I love you" could build someone up, to tear them down later
    There's a fine line between "stay" and "see you later"-
    ^very deep
