A new day sets its sun

by Dark Secrets   Sep 21, 2007

A heavy wind blows past my ear
A friendly swish of laughter I hear
I look at a sky full of stars
Of twinkly little bulbs of light
I see a sad face in the window
Willing for an open heart
Pitter patting on the window pane
Tiny drops of diamond rain
Trees behind all overwhelmed
Dancing thats played
Playing on my window pane
The drowsy moon shinning above
Looking sleepily at the world below
All is quiet ... all is still
The wind is whispering a haunting tune
I grab my teddy ... snuggle tight
I smile to the moon and close my eyes
I take deep breaths, soothing my feelings
I drift off to an unconscious land
A soft light sneaks through my lashes
I wake up to the sparrows call
I look out and the ceremony's over
The trees are still, their leaves all sweaty
Creatures running full of life
The moon no more, the sun is up
Bringing daylight to our land
I step outside into the sun
The neighbors cat is at my feet
I sit along the trees shade
and pet the cat pleased to be here
This is it! The day has begun
