The Fairies' Serenade

Give chase among thy sun's last burn
Upon thy face sweet smile for thee
Turn soul inside the mind unchurned
Free hands of idle breath in turn.
In slumber ecstasy.

Thy beauty holds no envy for
Thou humble heart inside thee sees
Sweet dreams to find forever more
Upon the seas and distant shore
Take wings to fly so free.

Beneath the stars thou eyes doth shine
Reflections of sweet memories
With thy breath is so entwined
A longing kiss from love divine
Encased upon the heart of thee

Sweet tender love I see your eyes
Collections of the stars that be
Enchanted by the moonlit sky
That sparkles like soft fireflies
And fills the night with fantasies.

And thus the fairies dance tonight
With gusto and with revelry
Along the moonbeams spirits fly
Among cascades of gentle lights
All for sweet eyes of thee.

    This harkens back to an older style of poetry with the use of some of the archaic wording, which is refreshing to see, especially when it is done this well. This is truly an enchanting read. Interesting rhyme scheme, nice smooth flow, great images and a depth of emotion, this poem really has it all. Very impressive!

    I love the rhyme scheme you used for this, and the whole thing has amazing imagery

    that stanza is incredible, puts a vivid picture in your head, great work
