Final goodbye

As I read your harsh and callous words
a cold hand reaches into my chest
and squeezes the core, turned so cold
My heart hurts so badly, it needs a rest

As tears roll down my cheeks
I take a deep breath and write you my reply
So sorry baby, just can't take it anymore
I guess this is our final goodbye

Forever it will haunt me
The image of a little child lost
Your little girl, how I wanted
to be a mother to her, but not at any cost

To know you are both alone again
just breaks my heart, tears me apart
For as long as I will live, I will never understand
why you played me and deceived my devoted heart

    How can you make a heart rest , while he si designed to love every more everyday ,

    how can one take the pain from his heart and let is rest ,

    how can you turn a tear into words to put in a reply to his decieving words?

    How very sad and heartbreaking Ingrid....I can feel the tears and pain in every line.....goodbyes are so very painful....hope time soon heals....Take care, Debbie

    Very touchable poem, i can feel the pain... i started to like sad poems more and more these days i don't know why hehe
