Your mistress, your other

by Its a love story   Jan 3, 2008

When my heart was breaking,
You were never there.
I was broken and you didn't care.

You never showed me any love,
And yet, you stole my heart.
How could I be so blind to your ways?
You'd say you loved me, then rip me apart

Your lips would say one thing,
But your eyes would say another.
I knew about her all along,
Your mistress, your other.

I saw the ring you gave to her,
That ring was supposed to be mine.
But so was your love but you gave that away too,
Now she has everything that i once had of you.

How could you have done such a thing?
Why don't i understand why?
I can see her smiling as i lay down to cry
You'll never fool me again, not by the sparkle in your eye.

I hate the way that i need you,
I hate the way i love you.
If only you would love me too.
Then i wouldn't have to say that i have to lose.

The time i had with you will soon be done,
And my life will not end by the shot of a gun.
We will see who wins in the end,
When you are lonely from losing your new "best friend"

I know how this can feel. when you spend so much nice time with them, and then you find out they're living a different them when you're not there. and they're doing other things and you find out about it. =/ I dunno why they forget everything.

but this one was nice. good stuff =)
