Heavenly Shelter

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 4, 2008

Home is where it is, shelter from the storm
A place in the heart always safe, and warm
The peace, and serenity we all seemingly adore
It's more often found within, than on a distant shore

Yes, distant places magically majestic
Seldom can compare to the domestic
No other space one may find
Dwells contently in the mind

Gently it confines the humble soul
Loved ones wait there to console
Memories are not far away
Building more dreams day by day

When our tasks on earth are through
And we have nothing left to do
No place to wander, or restlessly roam
Everyone will know that we are going home

Cool.. i felt it so much, i felt like it was my mom talking.. =)
we were not placed on earth to build our dwellings, just to pass by on our way home..
she used to say something like that..^__^

but then ofcourse she could never say it as poetic as the way you wrote it here..
    this was absolutely well great..^__^
