Fragile heart

Shes smiles ever so sweetly
a broken, shattered grin
after all her pain and tears
is this finally the end?

will he heal all her pain
will the sun shine through today
can he dry her tears
wipe them all away?

does she dare to fall in love
risk her battered pain filled heart
can she let her defenses down
or will he use her then tear it apart?

how can she love again
after all that shes been through
its just a hopefully wish
she knows will never come true

shes been broken one to many times
cried one to many tears
left alone too often
faced one to many fears

she just cant try anymore
take that leap of faith
to much pain inside
to just push it all away

so she remains guarded
refusing to share her fragile heart
the next time she might completely break
be forever torn apart
