Incomplete

by Dan Ryan   Jan 11, 2008

Ice water runs through my veins
It's sad that's all that remains
Except for when I'm near you
My worries are never so few

Nothing is what it would seem
Your not perfect and this isn't some dream
Around your little finger I may be twirled
But I'm not interested in a fantasy world

You're so obsessed with being better
Always to you conscience following the letter
Never asking why your so hard on yourself
For me that's half the proof in and of itself

Go back with me in this time machine
There's too much about me that's unseen
And always know the complete truth
Because I find it so hard to give to you

I won't ever try to make excuses
Together we'll take the bruises
I'll be an open book if you let me
Without you incomplete is all I'll ever be
