I lost you my bird, I lost you at last
It hurts me so deep but I knew it from the start
It was obvious; we were not meant to be friends
But I kept dreaming until I was shocked at the end

You told me I am your best and gave me some hope
I thought I might be the one but I was wrong
And when I realized the truth, my heart has stopped
But since I realized it too late I must be strong

You thought its ok to say it but you didn't really mean it
Like most people say "I love you" but don't really mean it
I can see now how a boring guy I am in your eyes,
While your friends can give you big smiles
I can see now where your happiness really lies,
When you ignore me and enjoy it with those guys

I am so sorry that I can't be like them;
I am not a good player with the ball

Who sacrificed his own joy and time only for YOU
I am ME
Who thinks about himself after thinking about YOU
I shared my secrets, money and happiness with you
JUST to tell you that you are ME and I am YOU

But I guess birds can't be friends with human
And I guess YOU can't be friend with me
Its ok my friend I don't need anything from you
I am just very glad that I was able to meet you
