Looking

Looking for hope
but no reply
looking for light
but from past five years I've tried

Looking for love
but its like all has died
heart's have turned into stone
killed white dove

Looking for the awoken soul
who'd I'll call my own
trying to reach life's meaning
life's goal

looking for support
looking for a helping hand
you should know
I'm just a kid
who needs to be told how to keep you feet steady on the ground
in order to stand

    I love the symbolism in this poem, for example white symbolizes pure and innocence and dove symbolize peace.

    I think if you turned the word "stones" for stone. It would have a better impact...

    Also I think the lines:

    Looking for (the) awoke(en) soul

    Would bring the reader more into the poem, just a thought...

    All in all, this is a pretty good poem, which uses metaphor...Alot of poems, I see today, fail to do that.
