You're perfect but i don't believe you

by Espoirfailed   Jan 31, 2008

Your words seem to stretch out forever
And knowing you, they probably do.
You're perfect but I don't believe every second thing
That comes out of your mouth.
I've never been so willing to shut you up and
I'm struggling to know why.
Maybe I want to kiss you but maybe
I don't want to hear the lies.
So won't you throw me to the ground?
Because there's no peace when you're around and
That would decide it all, but for now
I don't know what to make of you,
But we can't keep going on like this.
Goodbye is easier than hello,
But then we'd never know if, maybe, I was right.
But maybe I was wrong.
And in a world where oil and blood are interchangeable
And often used to bargain
I could believe anything you'd tell me,
So if you want to break the water
Do it now because I'm a sucker for anything you say.
And you're ready to tread the ice.
I think we could work things out, if not
Your company would be nice...
