I Miss You

by Beautiful Forever   Feb 3, 2008

I'm wide awake at dawn,
Because you're gone,
My fingers start to tremble,
As my memories assemble,

One by one they come and go,
One by one, they all show,
Images of me and you,
And how our emotions grew,

A tear falls from my eye,
As I begin to cry,
Just seeing your face,
Takes me to that place,

That feels so long ago,
Because time moved so slow,
I thought we'd last forever,
And I could see you whenever,

But I've been proved wrong,
Like how I knew I was strong,
And now I'm on my knees,
Begging to anyone, "Please",

I wish that you were here,
So I could hold you near,
Completing the hardest thing to do,
Making my lips mouth, "I miss you."

I like this and can really relate to parts of it. The number of syllables in each line disrupted the flow a couple of times but other than that it's a great poem. Love the ending, it's really sad. 5/5
