Broken Wing (Angels)

I spread my wings, then I fly,
You follow me, into the sky,
We look down, at the ground,
Knowing we're to high, to be found,

I'd like to get lost up here,
Flying while holding you near,
Letting go, giving you my all,
Knowing you would never let me fall,

Then something went astray,
I couldn't find you, one day,
My stomach upset, it began to lurch,
So I flew high, started to search,

My mind focused, only on you,
My eyes narrowed, looking through,
Anything, alive or dead,
Even the memories, in my head,

Frustrated, I began to shake,
Taking my wing, making it break,
Then you, flew into view,
Coming down, shaking too,

Instead of panicking, you stayed calm,
Taking my wing, into your palm,
Opening your lungs, you began to sing,
So soothing, it fixed my broken wing.
