Drowning

by Beautiful Forever   Feb 3, 2008

I'm cold, dead on the ground,
I'm lost, nowhere to be found,
I never knew it would end this way,
Missing the words, you wouldn't say,

We started off so great,
starting with our first date,
We walked so many miles,
Each with brilliant smiles,

We even ran along the shore,
As though we had, many times before,
Then we fell into the sand,
I reached out, to take your hand,

No one could have guessed,
The way our lips matched, when pressed,
But then I whispered the word,
And you pretended you hadn't heard,

I walked into the water, cold and wet,
Prepared my mind, so it was set,
The I took one last breath,
Jumped in the water, to my death.
