Dark eyes smoldering, sharp breath inhaled...

Put it up to pull it down
Turn that smile into a frown...

Choking down another pill
Choking out another verse...

As the gap between lips closes
And there's no one else that knows this...

Second choice and second best
Second place to all the rest...

Mommy's crying, head in hands
Says she doesn't understand...

Coming across as not serious
My lack of hope makes you furious...

Trying to fit in, dying to stand out
You got what you wanted and now you have doubt...
