How many of you lie?

We all lie. It's human nature.

My favourite lie is that my hobby is my never ending search for the perfect toenail clipping.

I lie until someone proves that they are worthy of the truth.

I like to make people jump through hoops before I feel I owe them anything, truth included.

However I dont lie for the fun of it as much as to see what people really are and what they are capable of.

In my personal life I have little reason to lie, so I hardly do, and if someone is always honest with me I will generally grant them the same consideration.

i lie all the damn time to the point where it's not even funny anymore.

I lie to protect myself and my feelings...

I lie to others...making myself into some person that I'm not. I make my life seem great even though that's the farthest from the truth.

and I even have to make up simple events in my own life to tell my mother so she thinks she knows what's going on in my life-though the truth would kill her. I make up boyfriends and friends and everything else concerning my life.

No one really knows the truth about me...it's ridiculous but I can't seem to fix it...

"I lie to others...making myself into some person that I'm not." ...i did that once, and i ended up learning a hella lot from it...so no more lies for me..i lied about my age, and learned from that too..its kinda hard to fix, telling someone the truth when you've lied to them about small stuff, that really means something to them, but im working on it!! no more lies, none for me..

Methods of response..

Method 1: the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. (My personal favourite, short sharp and as blunt as possible.)

Method 2: The truth mith a mixture of lies, usually elaborate. Doesn't work at all.. people get hanged, shokced and injected... see Ted Bundy.

Method 3: A simple plain lie. If you are going to lie use this one. Don't fluff it up, don't mix it with the truth.

I say these as options because everyone lies. I now only lie for fun, whereas like Bob, I used to lie as a matter of course.

I lie a lot... One of my teachers encourages my class to lie. So, I do (well, I do anyways :P).
But usually it's just pointless lies, no one needs to know the WHOLE truth of everything.

Which is a lie, because for you to be correct your statement must be true.

By the way it is known as a self refuting statement.

I lie sometimes. Ha that was a lie, i'm always lying. Damn. Anyways sometimes I have to lie, and sometimes I lie on the spur of the moment for no reason at all. Meh.

Here are things I've lied about (that I can remember.)

-my weight
-my height
-my name (don't ask...lol.)
-my middle name
-about having a friend named pete (long story)
-about being lab partners with my bf(at the time)'s worst enemy
-being single
-liking a girl in my group (to prevent drama)

I'm sure there's heaps more actually. I'm not perfect. I admit that I've lied about a few things in my life but, I'm not a LIAR... not anymore anyway :)

I sometimes take an elaborate and not altogether balanced aproximation of the nature of certain events pertaining to my location at any given moment.

Does that count?

What about state of mind?
