Uh, the virus replicates within one's body and makes it way throughout, even if breathing hot air would kill the virus; you'd still need to kill the infected cells way beneath, and simply breathing hot air wouldn't do that.

  • ddavidd

even if you right, I think partially, it was suggested as the mean of prevention rather than cure. It says one could use it when is suspicious of or feel the first signs of symptoms. In the case after the disease itself, it could still help because the main habitat of the virose , due to the temperature is sinuses.

Washing your hands, social distancing/self-isolation works much better than that though. Also that guy isn't even a real doctor.

Not really, going against the virus that predominantly spreads from the air, you could wash your hands blue but still have the main door, Noise..., wide open.

Like I said earlier, the virus replicates inside your body and gets beneath, even if breathing in hot air kills the virus on the surface, guess what? There's cells underneath replicating underneath that'll make its way to the body.

While it's true, scientists are suspecting/believing that it's airborne, and believe that asymptomatic carriers are a much bigger cause for the transmission of the virus, washing your hands is still encouraged. The virus can live airborne for a couple of hours and it will settle on surfaces that people touch, which is why washing your hands is recommended.

Thanks for that Hiraeth, it seems that's why our doctors here recommend washing hands for 20sec under warm water as opposed to sanitisers. Didn't know that's how it worked on a micro-level though, very interesting.

Good news may be around the corner though. A couple of scientists here in a medical lab in Queensland have discovered that there are 2 treatments that kill the virus - one is an HIV treatment and one is a Malaria treatment. They estimate that they may be about 3 months or so from a vaccine - funding could accelerate this, so hopefully the government will help. They've tested both on some cases here and abroad with promising results thus far, but want to do more testing to see which of the 2 treatments is more effective. I believe this was also tested in Italy with some success:

I personally think that the media has blown COVID-19 way out of proportion, but that's what they do. So much money has been made out of all the fear-mongering, it's ridiculous. We should still do our part to stay safe though for our sake & others :)

Anyway I think the knowledge of the clip is a vital knowledge. The fact that they can not survive in the heat above 55-7 is beneficial. We could use saunas and, heated places or even a blow dryers as a mean of prevention: by cleansing our nose and mouth, whenever coming from suspicious gathering and crowd, then as a mean of immediate healing: as soon as we feel like cold and influenza, before they as has Hiraeth said: "replicates inside your body and gets beneath" and even there still using this method is beneficial because as a war strategist would say: always it is good to cut the enemies supplies. It doesn't guarantee the victory but it is vital. Yes at last as the mean of some partial cure even then after diagnosis, by killing the throat viruses we do nat do the disease any favor.

I personally rarely get sick but i also wash my hands more times in a day than most people do in a week. It is pretty obvious staying inside when sick, self isolating and washing your hands/staying clean will kill this virus.

The media blows everything out of proportion unfortunately. They are all about making money and ratings.

    Very important.

If you sleep on your back normally, stop! Most of your lungs are at the back.

Especially important if you have symtoms.

Lie on your tummy and practice deep breathing. Take a number of deep breaths and hold them. Then have one massive push out.

If you have gunk in your lungs this will help clear it.

Ps don't worry if you get a bit dizzy. That's a lot of oxygen going in.

CJ, that's good information and I received the same information from a video posted by a healthcare professional. While I was sick, I was making sure to sleep on my stomach and I was doing the breathing exercises. They helped.

Dang, I keep forgetting to switch accounts. This is Jane.

Hey ddavidd. It’s been many many years. I believe the last discussion we had was about hearing the music. How have you been?

O dear Mo how good it is to hear from you again. You have been always Labeled "special special" in the archive of my mind and heart. ((they both are actually the same. hush it is a secret don't tell anyone))
I am doing fine. You are right, very long time about 10 t0 12 years. What about you, still with that wonderful "hubby" of yours that you always talked about? Any kids.
I hope you have decided to come back, if so, it means you are active writing again; how wonderful, if it is the case.

And yes about the music. I still hear it, here and there sometimes if I am lucky.

Hey Mo I am extremely excited to hear from you. Keep in touch if you could. You are precious!!

    The solution of this conversation:
    Instead of blow drier
gargle a little peroxyde and spray it in your mouth when you are worried right away.
It keels the virus without harming the flesh what soever.

It it burns a little bit and is uncomfortable for a 40second , but not that much

  • BOB GALLO
3 years ago, updated 3 years ago

I meant Peroxyde in above must be 3% (they sell it this way usually) Higher concentration burns a little more, and start to feel intolerable.

  • nouriguess

Ddavidd, were the last two posts serious?

DON'T wash your mouth with Hydrogen Peroxide. Just don't. It's dangerous and the concentration you mentioned is too high for using it on SKIN, let alone inside the mouth. Hurts the gums, tissue linings of the lips and the enamel. It is used as an antiseptic on inanimate surfaces, like countertops, glassware, arterial and jugular tubes, dissection scissors... etc.

Please don't follow such recommendations. I'm an expert. Spent six years studying chemicals and pharmaceuticals. I know what I'm talking about.

  • BOB GALLO
3 years ago, updated 3 years ago

Since 2000 my family and closed other ones spray it on our fruits and vegetables . They say do not digest it like a glass.or two, but gargling or spraying in the mouth or noise is safe.

It is a suggestion actually I heard from a health specialist that we could spray off 3% peroxide on the fruits. And hasn't been harmed yet. My sister does it more extensive than I do.

  • BOB GALLO replied to nouriguess

though they dilute it below the 3% in order to eat, (spray on the vegs and fruits- give to cancer patients...)
Yes it is also used for the cancer

    from the internet::
"Hydrogen peroxide is an oxygenating compound, meaning it’s a chemical that contains oxygen. Proponents of using hydrogen peroxide to treat cancer claim that it kills cancer cells by flooding them with oxygen.

This type of treatment is also called:
    hyperoxygenation therapy
    oxymedicine
    bio-oxidative therapy
    oxidative therapy
    oxidology"

  • nouriguess

You can check many online pages that say it helps whiten and clean the teeth. And it does. It's an oxidant, which means it kills bacteria (not viruses...). Anyway, gums are sensitive, the enamel contains fluoride which could be oxidated. Hence the enamel is prone to erode by oxidants.

Secondly, it's a chemical. And no matter how careful you are while gargling, it could go into your gastrointestinal tract.

Again, I don't recommend it. You're free to gargle with sulfuric acid. But my job is to warn you.

  • nouriguess

I know every little thing about hydrogen peroxide, ddavidd. I definitely know what oxymedicine is. Giving a meds to a cancer patient is one thing, and gargling with it to kill "viruses" is another thing.

    It doesn't kill viruses.
    It hurts the body.

  • BOB GALLO replied to nouriguess
3 years ago, updated 3 years ago

    Actually it does.
3% Hydrogen peroxide and 60% alcohol are sufficient enough to destroys coronavirus, go check it out.

It doesn't hurt the gum I used it a so many times.
I do not know if we are talking about the same gargle, because we spit it out after the gargle, we never ingest. enough to kill the virus 15 second or so.

And I wouldn't put it in the public eyes if I did not investigate, and used it before myself.

Also you do not need to use it to cure, or regularly. My suggestion was only wherever you came across suspicious situation, you could protect yourself like this and use it as a mean of prevention..

  • Larry Chamberlin

Regarding gargling with hydrogen peroxide as coronavirus preventative or treatment:

    ***************************
“The virus doesn’t just sit inside the mouth, so [that] if we swish it will be dead,” said Mark S. Wolff, dean of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. “A chemical in the mouth is not getting into the nasal cavity or the lungs. And if I’m coughing, I’m reinfecting my mucosa" — the membranes that line the respiratory system.

And there are other problems with the idea. Like toxicity. And no solid science.

“Some of these agents, such as ethanol and hydrogen peroxide, may, if used several times a day over a period of two to three months, induce inflammation” in the mouth and throat, warned the British team, led by Valerie B. O’Donnell, director of the division of infection and immunity at Cardiff University School of Medicine.

Thomas E. Rams, director of the oral microbiology testing lab at Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry, said, "It’s all supposition at this point. There are no studies or solid data.”

Haha Okay guys I could show you some research. I am also in touch with alternative doctors. I do some myself. Using HP for internal cleansing and cancer treatment is cutting edge they do not use it in many countries.

nourayasmine I understand though your concern. it was such a stupid idea to bring it here, end of the discussion. But anyways I did not think it is going to generate negativity.
I guess everything is in this forum now a days for me. But it is my fault

Please do not try it. I do not want to argue about this.
Without bitterness no more suggestion around here

I love you Hellon, but respectfully I decline.

This thread should not have been opened. It was irresponsible of me.
    Listen to your doctors guys.
    Alternative medicine is privet.

  • Hellon replied to BOB GALLO
3 years ago, updated 3 years ago

Fair enough ddavidd... I think people should listen to their bodies before their doctors sometimes, so in that respect I understand where you were going with alternative medicine but, if something is not clinically proven then it cannot be claimed as a a cure. I eat an orange every day and have not had a cold in forever but, I cannot really prove that a daily intake of vitamin C is the reason but, it seems to work for me at least so...I will continue having my orange but I could not recommend it to anyone as a cure for the cold just because it seems to work for me.

  • nouriguess

Doctors don't know about chemicals more than chemists and pharmacists. I'm not saying hydrogen peroxide is not a cure. I'm saying it's toxic.

  • BOB GALLO replied to nouriguess

    Edited::

Everything that fights cancer or viruses are toxic, like chemotherapy, alcohol....This does not prevent using them by professionals.. Noting non toxic could kill microbes.

My friend I am not in good situation here to carry any conversation like others. I have to spent two times energy to get any word through if I could at all
So I have caved, why do you continue ? I know you want to make sure nobody does it. Fair enough.
If you were in cycle of my friends in the real world or even in different forum, or even the past P&Q, I would perhaps be able to put your mind more at ease about this.

Here we go again :: don't use it!!
nourayasmine WAS RIGHT, I WERE WRONG. As you guys say Khalass

Chill, pal. It's okay to be wrong about something out of your field of study. Don't know where all this drama is coming from. I just wanted to make sure that YOU and every member know that it's not safe. But whatever floats your boat.

I am chill., I am so chill that I accept my fault. I am really sincere about my accepting my not well thought suggestion.. That it was irresponsible of me to bring these that could be very dangerous if even right, when used wrongly. And now because of you I know it is not right. Thanks for standing your ground
Haha I almost acted like Donald Trump when he was confronted with the malaria's pills.

About the commotion, I prevented in the last two threads. Though admit that I am a little traumatized coming to this forum after the last unlawful suspension.
