It is snowing on Mars! (a poem for the children)

It is snowing on Mars,
this news just blows my mind!
I keep asking myself:
What more will they find?

Creatures of green,
Kept hidden for ages?
Living underneath the surface,
Safe from the cold that blazes?

Will they come to greet us
wearing a smile on their faces?
Or take control of our planet,
popping up in the strangest places?

Oh, how it puzzles me!
I would so much like to know
If we turn out to have friendly neighbors.
The mere thought sets my heart aglow!
