A Dark Happily Ever After Part III

by La Reina De Corazones   Dec 12, 2012

"Rain Rain come again,
Take the tears and the pain away,
Let thy heart float upon that cloud,
That meets the Rain once again my love"

Looking to and fro for his lost bride
Those words will forever be engraved,
Engraved into that prince's mind,
Hiding the torture that simple rhyme left upon him heart,

As he walks the rains falls harder,
Coming to a dead end he looks up to the sky,
Seeing nothing but the darkness in his lost bride's eyes,

Rain Rain come again,
Take the tears and the pain away,
Let thy heart float upon that cloud,
That meets the Rain once again my love,

Chanting over and over,
There she stands in all of her grace in that white ball gown dress,
And beside her is her former lover,

Darkness covered everything but Rain and his former bride,
"Ah there you are my dear prince" said Rain loudly,
Looking down at the man that would've been his love's husband he snarls,
"This woman here will never be your wife but mine!"

Smiling down the queen falls towards the ground,
"I'm sorry darling don't take this personal,
But I can't leave any traces of my past..."
Still smiling she ends his life,

After the deed was done,
Both Rain and his wife shimmered once,
And the rest was history for this was a

I'm so glad you wrote the third part, it definitely matched the eloquence of the first! I really enjoyed this, very dark and haunting (which are my favorite kinds of poems).

I see the first stanza was in quotations, what was that from??
