Evade This Void

There is no medication for heartbreak
Tribulation has conquered the soul that was mine
There is no cure for how much this heart aches
The rope has tightened and now is the time

The only source of lambency that was once you
Has dimmed and left me untended
My perception of reality is very skewed
And the soul that was once mine has descended

Never will I ever evade this void
For I am forlorn and too subdued
I am left with everything that is destroyed
And now death and I will collude.

    I liked this a lot. It's dark and as Em says, very relatable. Really good use of rhyming and flows well.
