Stars Of Wars

by CJ Maleney   Jul 6, 2017

Luke I'm not your father
For he is dead and gone
But he made me make a promise
He begged me take this role.

My time is now forgotten and over
But your father chose to fight
For everything he loves
He sacrificed his life.

Through cold and heat he soldiered on
Because he knew this was his call
It's not an easy choice to make
And not one for us all

He was not forced to do this thing
The choice it was his own
He didn't stand because he hated
But for what he loved back home

This is a fictitious write, it came to be as the result of a thought.

I wondered how many people over the years have had to tell a child that their mum or dad won't be coming home.

I don't envy anyone that terrible duty.
